Mr. Adams is a nice guy, and in the strip his personality was similar to that of Elvis Presley, as he did many things that were similar.

Rat[]
When Rat thinks that Scott Adams ripped him of with the character of Ratbert, he attempts to bulldoze the Adams Manor's front gate, but Goat explains that Ratbert came first. Rat is then tied up and held against his will at the Manor.
Stephan Pastis[]
In real life, Mr. Adams and Mr. Pastis are great friends, as without Scott Adams, Pearls would not be in papers. They have been good friends, and use each other's characters in their strips every so often.
