When Rat and Pig rented out a room in their house, Leonard accepted. Rat and Leonard were good friends. Leonard worked at an amusement park as Tatulli, the Self-Esteem Raising Bear with his ex-wife. Stephan Pastis phoned Pig to tell him that he was killing off Leonard and that he was leaving the specifics up to Rat. Rat then walked in and said, "Leonard's head got stuck in the toilet. He's dead."
