Frederick II or better known as Fred was a crocodile who was very sophisticated and smart. According to Larry, Fred is a very smart guy who is an avid reader of William Shakespeare. One day, Fred was used in a plan to kill Zebra as Zebra thought that all the crocs were dumb but when Larry told Fred to say his speech, Fred resited a different speech where he apologises to Zebra for all the "attempted murder" things his brothers have done. Later in the strip, we see that the crocs held a funereal for him where the pope sayed "Fred died. No one cares. Me take his beer" which might be because Fred sayed the wrong speech to Zebra.
